M.U.P.P. X

I’ve been gorging on Muppet babies all week and then this popped into my head. I thought what would happen if the Muppets had a sci-fi fantasy reboot, like Loonatics Unleashed.
Here is THE M.U.P.P.X : Mighty underground planet protectors.

First we have Kermit the frog as Kerm-X: Guardian of the Swamp, after his home was destroyed by the Organization known as “The Balcony” Kerm-X created the Mighty Underground Planet Protectors to battle for justice and restore harmony to the Universe. The only force powerful enough to defeat the Balcony is the legendary Spectrum of freedom (Rainbow Connection).

He is accompanied by his long term friend F.O.Z, a malfunctioning alien cyborg, naïve and wisecracking, FOZ is always running into trouble. But he is kind hearted and loyal to his friends.

Princess Piggara (of course, Piggy is a princess in every reality) trained in all martial arts, at times she refuses to lift a finger but tick her off she’ll crush you like a grape. Piggara was next in line for the throne in Hamelot, but was forced to flee her planet as the Balcony took over. Her father told her to recover the Spectrum which is scattered throughout the galaxy. She pines over KermX, and dreams of being his damsel (even though she has to rescue him half the time)

Next is my other favourite Muppet Gonzo, here plays Gozon, his memory was erased by the Balcony in order to gain his secrets. He doesn’t know who is or where he came from but the only clue to his identity is his mechanical arm.
He has a fair knowledge of machinery and capable of helping Professor Honeydew and Beakor in the laboratory, the professor believes Gozons mechanical arm is the key to finding the Spectrum of freedom. (I’ve also include Rizzo the rat as Gonzo’s companion)



The concept is pretty lame but I like the way it turned out. I drew each character by hand and retraced them and coloured them with Photoshop. I think I might add more characters like Skeeter and Animal if I have time.

Muppets belong to Jim Henson and Disney, this is just a parody/ homage. Please don’t sue me.
